If you love oysters like I do, this recipe is a must! There is nothing better than fried oysters and this easy recipe brings them right to your dining room table!
Ingredients:
- 24 Oysters Shucked and Drained
- 1 Cup of Buttermilk
- 2 Cups Fine Bread Crumbs – I use New Orleans Style Fish Fry Seafood Breading Mix
- 2 Quarts of Vegetable Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
Directions:
- Combine the Buttermilk, Salt, and Pepper, Paprika in a large bowl.
- Add the Oysters and allow to marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil to 375 degrees.
- Put bread crumbs in a separate large bowl.
- Dredge Oysters in bread crumbs until all sides are covered.
- Cook in the oil for about 2 minutes until golden brown in batches of about 5.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
