Comes to Tampa Bay for Christmas Courtesy of Zak Kinkade!
This December, experience the wonder and spectacular artistry of the talented Zak Kinkade in a limited engagement presentation, “Christmas with Kinkade.”
Thomas Kinkade Studios, in association with Road Show Company, brings a new and exciting exhibition to Michael Murphy Gallery, Tampa’s premier contemporary art space, just in time for the holiday season. Featuring Disney, Marvel, DC, and Star Wars characters, the works will be on display and available for acquisition from December 2 through December 11, with a special children’s event on Saturday, December 10. An opening reception is planned for Friday, December 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. RSVP is requested for the opening reception by contacting 813-902-1414 or gallery@mmgart.com.
Zac Kinkade, the artist behind the creation of these dynamic works of art, carries on the legacy of his famous uncle, Thomas Kincade. Born in the early ‘90s, Zac has been winning local, regional, and national art competitions since childhood and has earned international recognition as well, often competing against artists many years older. An apprentice at the Thomas Kinkade Studios from an early age, Zac graduated with honors from Cornell University’s famed school of art and architecture and from the internationally known Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, California. Currently he is a publishing artist for Art Brand Studios.
Come meet the extraordinary artist at one of four receptions: Friday, December 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, December 10, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, December 11, from noon to 3 p.m. A fun-filled children’s event is planned for Saturday, December 10, from 11 a.m. to noon. All events are free and open to the public. Private appointments are available.
Regular gallery hours at Michael Murphy Gallery are Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
