Egg Hunts, Easter Bunny Photos, Cruises, and More

Easter is coming, and egg hunts are springing up all over Tampa Bay, as well as an abundance of Easter Bunny photo opportunities and other family-friendly activities. Destination Tampa Bay™ has listed a few of the many fun events coming up in our area to help you fine-tune your search for the perfect outing and firm up your spring calendar. More events are being scheduled every day, so keep an eye on your community calendars! In the meantime, check these out:

Easter For Kids:

City of Largo Underwater Egg Hunt

City of Largo Underwater Egg Hunt

For a true Florida-style egg hunt, check out Largo’s Underwater Egg Hunt at Southwest Pool. Children must be five years and older to hunt for eggs in the pool, and children who cannot swim must use a life jacket. Adults are not permitted in the pool during the egg hunt. Cost is $5 per wristband; $3 for spectators. Wristbands can be purchased at any Largo Recreation facility, but supplies are limited. Tampa’s Downtown Eggsploration

Tampa's Downtown Eggsploration

Downtown Tampa’s largest egg hunt takes place at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on April 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free for all ages. Enjoy fare from a local food truck and snap photos of the little ones with the Easter Bunny. The park is located at 1001 N Blvd, Tampa, FL. Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach

What could be better than an egg hunt on the beach? This family-friendly event takes place on Whiskey Joe’s world-famous Barefoot Tiki Beach. One lucky winner will score a golden egg with a $100 gift card! Afterward enjoy a post-hunt lunch from the “Floribbean”-inspired menu of local favorites. The Easter egg hunt is complimentary for children ages 12 and younger.

Crafts with Ms. Kate at Armature Works – Easter Edition

During this fun crafts class, each child will decorate their own Easter-themed canvas tote bag, which they can bring back on April 9 if they wish for the Armature Worlds annual Hop on the Lawn egg hunt! Children will be given step-by-step instructions and offered assistance in making their bags. Children ages 3-12 are welcome, and parents are encouraged to participate. Seats will be reserved for the children, but standing room will be available for adults. Admission is $20 per child. Each ticket includes materials to create the Easter-inspired canvas tote bag, which the child will take home. The event takes place Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Armature 1910 North Ola Avenue Tampa. Easter Brunch Cooking Class

Here’s one for the Do-it-Yourself-ers. Join the Publix Aprons Cooking School of Citrus Park for a hands-on cooking class and some new takes on the typical Easter brunch menu. Adults over 18 years of age may enroll; no children are allowed. Adults must be 21 years or older to sample wine. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Join FX Fitness Studio and the Mercy Full Project for their Easter Puppies and Yoga event on April 1 at 9 a.m. (check-in at 8:30 a.m.). The event seeks to raise awareness and encourage empathy, kindness, and love for living creatures. During the yoga event, puppies will join the fun!
