Sometimes you go out for a quick bite to eat and are pleasantly surprised that you stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant that you are sure to add to your regular spots. That happened to me at the Salty Shamrock.
Located at 6186 N U.S. Hwy 41 in Apollo Beach, Florida, the Salty Shamrock is easy to find and conveniently located. I walked into the patio entrance upon arrival to the sound of a one man band playing great music at a volume where patrons could still have a conversation. The bartender and patrons were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The televisions had baseball games on and the bar was exactly as advertised, an Irish pub with a Coastal Florida soul.
Despite the amazing looking prime rib special that is featured weekly, I decided to order the Lobster Mac and Cheese. As someone that makes their own Lobster Mac and Cheese I am very picky when it comes to this dish. The Salty Shamrock stood up to the test and then some. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it! The rest of the menu has a nice variety of pub fare and dinners offering plenty of choices before I made my decision.
The Salty Shamrock is absolutely #GuruApproved. Try it the next time you want to go out for a drink or have a fabulous dinner out!
