Smoky Baked Beans Recipe

Baked beans and BBQ are a perfect pairing. The smoky flavor in this recipe comes from the beef brisket.To make this recipe even easier to make, simply use Pig Pit Dana Js Sweet & Sassy BBQ Sauce…available by going HERE.

Ingredients:

4 – 15oz cans of pork & beans

1 cup of chopped, smoked beef brisket

1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup ketchup

1/2 cup water

1 tbl. chili powder

1 tsp. liquid smoke (for stove top method)

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bringing to a boil over medium heat.ï‚·  Reduce heat & simmer for 10 minutes.  Transfer the beans to a baking pan and place in your smoker.  Smoke for 45 minutes, leaving the pan uncovered, stirring the beans 2 or 3 times while they smoke.

This recipe can also be prepared entirely using your stove top. To do so, add the liquid smoke, then simmer the beans for 20 minutes or until they reach a thick and soupy consistency.
