Are you a scallop lover? There are many great ways to prepare scallops but fried scallops are a favorite of many. This recipe is easy, delicious, and restaurant quality.
Ingredients:
- 1 Pound Jumbo Sea Scallops
- Fryer or 4 Cups of Vegetable or Canola Oil
- 2 Cups Buttermilk
- 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tablespoon Paprika
Directions:
- Dry the scallops with a paper towel.
- Allow scallops to soak in buttermilk for 2-5 hours
- Heat the fryer or oil to 400 degrees
- Combine the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika well in a mixing bowl
- Roll scallops in the flour mixture until well (thickly) coated
- Cook the scallops in the 400 degree oil for 3 minutes and 30 seconds
- Drain excess oil then serve!
