Fall Winemaking Season Open House Wine Tastings
We’re making great wine together and it’s time to get started making your Fall Season wines. Join us at Winemakers of Somerset for our Open House Wine Tastings in August and September. Sample wines made from premium grapes from the finest regions in California. Decide which wines you’d like to make and let’s get started. Bernardsville Farmer’s Market Saturdays
Every Saturday in the Summer and early fall. On Saturday, June 9, 2018 the Bernardsville Farmers’ Market opened for the season celebrating 24 years of providing a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, and poultry products from New Jersey farmers: Silver Lake, Hensler and Griggstown Farms. Other fine products are offered by Valley Shepherd Creamery (award-winning cheeses), Baker’s Bounty (breads & baked goods), Pickelicious, and Krakus Deli. Working to keep the market current and even trendy, there will be pop-up events with new and diverse products from: Cooper’s Hollow Farm – native plants, Black River – spices & teas, Haines Farms – maple syrup, Best in Bouquets – cut flowers, Woods Edge local top-quality fashion-fiber-designs, and a diverse selection of heirloom garlic, nut butter, sweets, and more. We will feature a Peach Party and Apple Festival with tasty samples and ice cream at the height of the season. Our vendors are knowledgeable at answering questions on their produce as well as tips for diet, recipes and growing your own. Hillsborough Digital Photographic Society to Exhibit at Bernardsville Library in September
Bernardsville Public Library is pleased to present an exhibition of photographs taken by members of the Hillsborough Digital Photographic Society. The show will be on view in the Library’s Community Room from September 4 to September 27. A public reception will be held Sunday, September 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The images will illustrate the diverse interests and styles of members of the Hillsborough Digital Photographic Society who concentrate on learning the art and science of digital photography in a supportive environment. The club’s goal is to provide a forum where photographers of all skill levels meet to share their experience, knowledge, and passion for photography. 4U – A Symphonic Celebration of Prince
The first and only estate-approved Prince celebration, “4U” is curated, produced, and directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson of The Roots, widely known to be Prince’s biggest fan and musical genius in his own right. Through the course of the evening, we’ll hear everything from the biggest hits to some lesser-known gems, all played by a top-tier band hand selected by Questlove, and with a spectacular video presentation featuring never-before-seen footage courtesy of the estate.
The Dance Connection Nutcracker Auditions
The Dance Connection’s Nutcracker is central New Jersey’s original youth ballet Nutcracker. Auditions will be held for dancers ages 5-18. 9/7: 6:30pm-7:30pm (Choreographers will warm up dancers) Audition for dancers in Kindergarten through 3rd grade who have only taken 1 dance class a week since pre-school. 9/9: 11am-12:30pm (Choreographers will warm up dancers) Audition for dancers in Kindergarten through 3rd grade who have only taken 1 dance class a week since pre-school. 12:30pm-2:00pm (studio opens at 11:30am for warm up) Intermediate and advanced dancers and any child in 4th grade or older.
