The St. Pete Beach Parks & Recreation Department Presents: Holiday Movies in the Park! Join us in Horan Park for great holiday classics like Elf, The Polar Express and The Santa Clause all brought to life on the BIG SCREEN! Tickets are $5, each ticket provides enough space for up to 8 people to share, so grab your friends and family and enjoy a night under the stars. St. Pete Beach Park and Recreation:

The St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation has a long standing tradition of providing residents and visitors with quality of life amenities.

Waterfront parks emerged one hundred years ago with the preservation of our waterfront by our forefathers, William Straub, Peter Demens and Perry Snell. They wanted every resident and visitor to have access to the waterfront. In the 1950s, the first recreation center began with a lawn bowling and shuffleboard club at Mirror Lake.

Soon after St. Petersburg became known for its many beautiful parks and recreation facilities. As the city grows, so do the opportunities for activities in all its’ neighborhoods. The legacy continues today with 17 recreation facilities, nine swimming pools, over 150 parks, over 70 athletic fields and programming for all ages and abilities.

St. Pete Beach is a coastal city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. Known as a tourist destination, St. Pete Beach was formed from the towns of Pass-a-Grille, Belle Vista, St. Petersburg Beach and unincorporated Pinellas County. At the time of its incorporation in 1957, its name was St. Petersburg Beach. On March 9, 1994, locals voted to officially change the name to the shorter version of St. Pete Beach, to distinguish it from the city of St. Petersburg a few miles to the east. The population was 9,346 at the 2010 census.
