With Two Special Events in Largo Central Park
The City of Largo Recreation, Parks and Arts team is excited to offer two Halloween events this October in Largo’s Central Park to replace the popular annual Halloween Spooktacular event as a result of current social distancing restrictions. The first Halloween event, “Howl O Train,” will take place on Saturday, Oct.24. O Friday, Oct. 30, Central Park will be the site for a free Drive O Ween event.
Participants in “Howl O Train” will have the chance to take a hayride to our spooky train with costumed conductors, decorated tunnels and more. Registration is available online at LargoEvents.com or at any Largo recreation facilities. Cost is $10 per person. As a safety precaution, pregnant mothers, and children under one are not permitted on the train. “Howl O Train,” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Largo Central Park
Then join the City of Largo for a free “Drive O Ween” event starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct.30, to kick off your Halloween weekend. Participants will drive through Largo Central Park, where a line of spooky scenes will await them to scare and delight. Costumes are encouraged, and all participants must be in their cars for the duration of the event.
The first 1,000 children, ages two and up, will receive a goody bag filled with candy. Those who attend are encouraged to make donations of non-perishable canned or boxed foods for Largo’s partners at the High Point Neighborhood Family Center.
