Wins ‘Most Fan-First’ Award
Golf fans in the Tampa Bay area have lots of reasons to look forward to this year’s Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort, a Salamander Golf and Spa resort in Palm Harbor. They probably knew it already, but now it’s official. The Valspar tournament has been named the “Most Fan-First Event” on the PGA TOUR{c). This year’s tournament is set for the week of March 19 through March 24.
The “Fan-First” award recognizes the special opportunities available for fans when this year’s Valspar event comes to the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook. Fans can look forward to more than just a great golf tournament with some of the world’s best PGA TOUR© players. The Valspar will continue to offer fan-favorite things to do that the whole family can enjoy, with a few new additions to those available in previous years.
A full show by country music star Cole Swindell will take place on Innisbrook’s Osprey Driving Range shortly after Saturday’s play. Admission to the Valspar LIVE concert, presented by Chick-fil-A, is free for everyone with a Saturday ticket or a weekly pass.
Sunday, March 24, is the final championship round, and that day will feature the AmeriLife Community Food Drive. Patrons are encouraged to bring shelf-stable food items on
Sunday to help combat hunger in Tampa Bay. Proceeds from the tournament itself will provide major support for many worthwhile charities in the Tampa Bay area.
Spectators can get VIP access with the tournament’s premium ticket options, including the all-new Copperhead Club, presented by Lexus. This will include admission to two areas—the newly renovated Packard’s Restaurant inside the Copperhead clubhouse and the new private upper-level skybox overlooking the 18th green.
Other upgraded ticket opportunities will include the DEX Imaging Deck, a shared hospitality venue on the 11th green and 12th tee, featuring a full-service bar and food for purchase. The Snake Pit Club, presented by AmeriLife and Ketel One, offers all-inclusive food and a full-service bar. The Hooters Owl’s Nest will be back, overlooking the 12th green, with complimentary beer and Hooters wings. More information on upgraded ticket options is available at ValsparChampionship.com.
Most of the activities are available for regular ticket holders. Cabot Creamery is bringing a new fan seating area to the 14th tee and will offer delicious cheese samples, or fans may join in the fun at the Florida Blue Family Fun Zone, featuring activities like cornhole and Jenga for kids and adults of all ages.
The popular Publix© Chillounge will be back with an expansive lounge area near the 8th tee, complete with a variety of food and drink options, including the Birdie Publix Sub and the Copperberry drink.
Those who swing by the Valspar© BLOCK PARTY and the Tampa General Courtyard will be inspired by Valspar’s 2024 Color of the Year! A tiny home and Color Cabana will highlight new color trends, bringing them to life. While there, fans may enjoy free popsicles, play fun games, and relax in the shade. Meanwhile, Valspar COLOR SCOUTS will roam the golf course, looking for the most colorful to give them fun prizes.
Additional special opportunities include the amazing top-shelf spirit and brew experiential areas, including the Maestro Dobel Margarita Deck, the Horse Soldier Whiskey Lounge, the Michelob ULTRA CLUB, The Josh Cellars Wine Garden, and the Captain Morgan Bar.
Ticket prices for this year’s Valspar Championship start at $55. Ages 15 and under will get in free with a paid adult. Military discounts are available. Patrons are encouraged to buy parking passes in addition to their tickets for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Parking options are extremely limited so using Rideshare is highly recommended.
