Fine Arts Photographer Michael McCoy Announces Premiere Exhibition

 Of His Abstract Collection Observations Of Creation

McCoy Studio Art Gallery presents a collection of McCoy’s original abstract photographs on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The Observations of Creation exhibition is free and open to the public and is a wonderful opportunity for art lovers to discover a distinct medium which so beautifully captures the vivid colors, invigorating shapes, and endless fluidity of McCoy’s imagination.

Each of McCoy’s photographs is meticulously printed on metal by the skilled artisans at Graphi Studio in Italy who specialize in state-of-the-art printing methods, fashionable materials and various finishings. McCoy’s innate ability to capture the essence of his creativity and ingenuity has garnered worldwide recognition, with clients spanning the globe including Singapore, London, and Australia.

Observations of Creation was born out of a longing for the more surrealistic art that had captivated Michael in his earlier years. He began experimenting with a variety of media to enliven his creativity and insisted on printing his abstract photographs on metal, a process that allowed him to create beyond the realms of traditional photography and redefine the boundaries of visual storytelling.

 

 

McCoy states, “For me, the creative process is best accomplished from play – a mix of art, science, experimentation, and practice. Each splatter, stroke, and splurge became a note in the symphony of my artistic expression. In every piece, there is an invitation to explore the duality of controlled precision and unbridled spontaneity – a reflection of my own journey.”

The highly anticipated exhibition will offer a special opportunity for the observer to experience these mesmerizing creations up close as they stroll through three feature rooms, two hallways, and an immersive, interactive video room throughout the gallery. McCoy will partner with Personifi Studios, a Tampa-based live stream and video production company, to unveil his signature ‘Slow Art’ video series on a giant LED wall backdrop screen. ABOUT MICHAEL MCCOY:

Self-taught Tampa native Michael McCoy is an instructor for the United Nations Association, Tampa Bay Chapter ‘Picture My Life’ program, and a Board Member from 2019 to the present. He has written two photography books and was awarded Florida Magazine Association’s Charlie Awards for best photography in 2020 and 2022.
