At the Florida Botanical Gardens
Light up your holidays at Florida Botanical Gardens where over a million colorful LED lights, laser lights, and other lighted displays are sure to amaze and delight revelers young and old. The event is open to the public through Sunday, January 1st, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. nightly. The Gardens are closed Christmas Day.
A variety of talented performers will add to the festivities each evening, and St. Pete Concessions will be on site to provide delicious food items, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase. For a unique holiday photo opportunity, be sure to visit the 18-foot evergreen tree in the heart of the Wedding Garden. Families will enjoy the Enchanted Forest Children’s Area, sponsored by Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscaping Association and Pinellas County Farm Bureau. Free children’s craft activities are available every evening from December 16th through December 31st.
The Botanical Bounty Gift Shop will be open nightly during the event for holiday shopping, in addition to its regular hours. The Gift & Plant Sale, on Friday, December 9th from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday, December 10th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., will feature even more local vendors.
Holiday Lights will not host Santa this year, but check out Santa Saturdays at the neighboring Heritage Village on December 3rd, 10th, and 17th, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Or browse the Arts Annual Exhibition at the Gallery at Creative Pinellas, off the Walsingham Road entrance to the Gardens, now through December 31st. The gallery is open to the public from noon to 8 p.m. (until 5 p.m. on December 31st). Visit http://www.creativepinellas.org for more information.
