Summer Is More than Sun and Sand – It’s Summer Rum and Seafood Festival Time!

The Summer Rum & Seafood Festival hosted by the North Tampa Chamber in conjunction with Florida Penguin Productions and is being held Saturday, August 27 at the Tampa Premium Outlets in the Lutz/Wesley Chapel area. The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and features over 10 seafood vendors and local restaurants of all styles and cuisines.  Tampa Premium Outlets are located at 2300 Grandy Cypress Drive in Lutz, near the apex of State Road 54 and State Road 56.

Guests of the Summer Rum & Seafood Festival will be able to partake in a variety of seafood favorites, from crab legs and fish tacos to lobster rolls and more, as well as non-seafood fare from area restaurants and food trucks. In addition to sampling tasty seafood, guests can explore a selection of rums and rum cocktails offered by multiple distilleries. Local distilleries from across Central Florida are taking part in this year’s event and will have samples available as well as full-size drinks available for purchase. All adult beverage sales also benefit the north Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s fundraising efforts.

The North Tampa Chamber of Commerce is 25 years old and was formerly known as the Greater Wesley Chapel of Commerce. Named Chamber of the Year in 2019, the North Tampa Chamber supports business members in the Wesley Chapel, Land O’Lakes, Lutz, New Tampa, Trinity and Odessa communities. It is also committed to raising funds throughout the year for its Foundation for its Foundation as well as its 2022 Scholarship program which supports area students.

Admission is $10 cash entry at the gate on event day with rum and food purchases paid separately. Children under 18 are free to enter. General admission and special VIP passes are available for purchase online. VIP access offers patrons fast passes to distillery bars, tent seating with cooling fans, and more. VIP passes are only available online and are expected to sell out fast.
