Big& Rich to Open at Valspar LIVE Concert on Saturday, March 19
Country music star Chris Young will headline the 2022 Valspar LIVE presented by Chick-fil-A at this year’s Valspar Championship. The show will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, following play in the third round of this year’s Valspar Championship. All Saturday tournament patrons will be able to attend the concert at no additional charge. Tickets are on sale now for all tournament days, including Saturday, at www.ValsparChampinship.com.
The Valspar LIVE concert will also feature Big and Rich in an opening 30-minute show prior to Chris Young’s performance. The exciting country music event will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m., following play on Saturday. It is free of charge to all Saturday tournament patrons.
Chris Young is known internationally for his music and is a multi-platinum vocalist. The Nashville global entertainer has a long list of accomplishments that have landed him in the Top 20 of Billboard’s top country artists of the decade. The Valspar LIVE concert is produced by the Valspar Championship in conjunction with Ruth Eckert Hall on the Road. The primary promotional partner of the concert is WQYK 99.5.
As one of Country Music’s top vocalists, Chris Young is a member of the iconic Grand Old Opry and has performed in nearly 5 billion on-demand streams, 13 million singles sold, along with 12 career No 1 singles and 22 RIAA Gold/Platinum/Multi-Platinum certified projects. He has received four Academy of Country Music nominations and two Grammy nominations along with wins for Performance of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year at the CNT Music Awards.
Called “one of his era’s finest traditionalists” by the Associated Press, Chris Young is an international ambassador for country music, performing to capacity crowds world-wide. Big & Rich—the duo of Big Kenny and John Rich—have been country music stars since their first hit in 2004 from their triple-platinum debit album, Horse of a Different Color.” A track from their album was their first hit, “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)”. Big & Rich have been called America’s technicolor cowboys. Both are first-rate musicians, songwriters, producers, and entertainers. They have won eight awards as the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year.
Valspar LIVE was last presented in 2019 with Brad Paisley. Chris Young and Big & Rich’s 2022 concert is the second Valspar LIVE to feature Multiple acts after Jake Own an Dusti Lynch were the headliners in 2018. The concert became a part of the tournament’s tradition in 2015 with The Band Perry in 2015, followed by Rascal Flatts in 2016 and Toby Keith in 2017.
Other Special Activities at 2022 Valspar Championship:
In addition to the big Valspar LIVE concert at this year’s Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Golf and Tennis Resort and Spat the Week of March 17 to 20, several other special activities are planned.
For the opening day of Thursday, March 17, guests are encouraged to wear green for a chance to win festive prizes. The first 2500 fans onsite will receive a free koozie. Sunday, March 20, has been set aside as Champa Bay Day, celebrating all the sports star power Florida has to offer. You may even see some star professional players and Olympians.
There’ll be fun for the entire family in the Entertainment Zone, featuring games and activities, like Jenga and corn Hole, for kids and adults of all ages. Spectators will also have an opportunity to see a huge sand sculptures and sit with their toes in the same while watching golf as Chameleon Cove makes its return.
There are several adult attractions for spectators who want a break from watching golf live. The Publix ® Chillounge is returning with an expansive lounge area complete with a variety of food and drink options. There also are a few top-shelf spirit and brew experiential areas, which have even more to offer this year with the 13th Green Margarita Deck, Horse Soldier Whiskey Lounge, Michelob ULTRA CLUB and the Captain Morgan Bar. There also are a few other hospitality areas, which are back and larger than ever, like the Hooters Owl’s Nest and More.
