Bay Area Renaissance Festival offers a unique opportunity to experience the 16th Century Royalty and Entertainment right here in Destination Tampa Bay! Hear ye…hear ye…hear ye! Thy presence hath been requested at the behest of Queen Katherine Parr and her royal court at yon Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Dade City, Florida.
The new festival grounds (12449 Withlacoochee Blvd., Dade City). are transformed into a 16th century village featuring over 12 stages of minstrel, marionette, magic, court jester and dance shows as well as full armor jousting competitions, a live mermaid cove, arts and crafts, roaming musicians and traditional and modern day treats and savory eats.
Queen Katherine Parr and her royal court invite one and all to the annual Bay Area Renaissance Festival that will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays on Select Dates January 8 through March 6 rain or shine.
The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is a family friendly event that is great for individuals and for special groups who want to join in the fun. Over 80 artisans fill the festival marketplace to display and sell their handcrafted wares to provide a truly unique shopping experience at their shops featuring unique arts and crafts. Enjoy a variety of shows and royal atmosphere as well as unique food options, playing games of skill and participating in a variety of human-powered rides.
Patrons can interact with hundreds of memorable costumed characters roaming the village streets as well as view live armored jousting throughout the day and participating in several performances daily. Each of the seven weekends of this year’s Bay Area Renaissance Festival has a different theme, so you may want to come more than once. Last year’s Festival attracted over 80,000 visitors.
Celebrate the popular Festival’s newest season at the new themes run each weekend and a wide range of activities abound from jousting to theater performance and musical minstrels.
