Shop Local for the Holidays with ARTWALK!! Second Saturday ArtWalk December 11, 2021, from 5-9 p.m.! Second Saturday ArtWalk is happening just in time for the holidays! And what better way to support your community then to purchase unique art from your local art galleries and studios!
 
The Central Arts District, EDGE District, Grand Central District, Warehouse Arts District, Uptown Arts District, and downtown Waterfront District unite once a month for the St. Petersburg Second Saturday ArtWalk. Studios and galleries stay open late on Saturday, December 11th, and welcome visitors from 5-9 pm.  COVID guidelines will be in place at each individual venue and the ArtWalk trolleys will NOT be running this month. Featured Artist is Megan Kessler who is a mosaic artist from Chicago specializing in broken glass and broken mirrors. “ShatteredWorks” is about hyper-breakage and celebrating the beauty in the broken. Come meet her and enjoy Anna Broshear’s large paintings and seascapes. Anna specializes in large scale Abstracts, Seascapes, and Pop Art. She is in front orange building across from 3 Daughters Brewery at Five Deuces Galleria.

Stop by for a tour of the studio and a Behind-the-Scenes view of upcoming projects. See MGA’s most recent project ‘Rise’ at the front of the ArtsXchange Campus during December’s ArtWalk. ‘Rise’ is a collaboration with the neighboring American Freedom Distillery and is dedicated to the first responders of 9/11. This monument is comprised of a 25-foot-tall copper phoenix wing, serving as backdrop to a piece of steel from the Twin Towers.

St. Pete, FL 33712 (727) 896-2529 – Works by Mark Arnold – A studio potter working and living in Elizabeth City, NC, Arnold was recently one of Ceramics Monthly’s 2018 Emerging Artists. “I am currently exploring repetition and patterns from my past bike riding experience and how this relationship can help determine subtle variations of form and surface. The jumps I built in the woods were like the organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. The softness of nature interacting with the strong geometric forms is relevant in each piece. This show explores these ideas on functional utilitarian pottery.” Guests will enjoy an evening stroll through a historic 1926 Seaboard Freight Depot along the Pinellas Trail. Between the exposed bricks and steel beams, the building transports you to the heart of old St. Pete commerce. Enjoy the art of over fifty working artists including functional, sculptural, and funky pieces for sale.

Featuring Linda Feinstein, an intuitive acrylic painter who uses bold color to hold the viewer’s attention as they explore the depths of her work. The continued opening of “Get Naked”, a celebration of the human form in art, featuring over thirty local artists. The opening will be on Friday, 12/10 from 5-9 p.m. Attendees will vote on their favorite works, with cash awards going to the top three artists. The winners will be announced during Artwalk on 12/11. Also find an extensive collection of gemstones and minerals, unique jewelry, both local and from around the world and a broad variety of Talavera and Guerrero, traditional Mexican styles of ceramics, Metal yard decor, artwork also featured.
