Downtown Dunedin businesses are ready to deliver delicious food, drink and shopping specials, as talented national, regional and local blues artists take to the stage Saturday, November 13 with the return of the 30th Annual Dunedin Wines the Blues. Stroll through the city with friends and family and shop, dine, and stop by street vendors while live blues music plays across three stages along downtown’s popular Main Street.
This year’s Main Stage performers for Dunedin Wines the Blues are Damon Fowler (LEFT), the Johnny Rawls Band (Below RIGHT), Vanessa Collier (Featured Image-ABOVE ), Beth McKee Funky Time Band and Selwyn Birchwood. Additional blues artists who will be appearing include Sarasota Slim, Dottie Kelly Band, TBone Hamilton, Ellie Lee Band, Steve Arvey, Alex Lopez, Trey Wanvig and Brian Leneschmidt Band.
The Dunedin Wines the Blues event, which is organized by the Downtown Dunedin Merchants Association (DDMA), is open to the public with free general admission from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. A limited supply of VIP tickets are available for $125 and include unlimited food and drinks, as well as premier seating for the blues shows. The VIP tent opens at 5:00 p.m. and features full access to the lounge area with couches, tables, big screens, stage views, special VIP treats and drinks, and more.
The DDMA is a nonprofit organization that promotes and raises awareness about the value of shopping local through business networking, media opportunities and community-wide events such as Dunedin Wines the Blues, one of the group’s largest events all year. In 2020, as business communities across the country faced the challenge of keeping their doors open amid an unpredictable pandemic, the Association launched its latest marketing campaign “Love Downtown Dunedin” to promote the revitalization of the downtown area and help grow a sense of community.
