More About Frenchy’s:

Frenchy exists! He is an actual person who opened the first Frenchy’s restaurant in 1981. He’s a resident of Clearwater Beach and you’ll see him pop in and out of the restaurants on a daily basis. Perhaps he will stop in at the Frenchy’s Stone Crab Claw Feast.

Do you take reservations at Frenchy’s?

We do not take reservations at any of our locations; seating is accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a large group (30+), please call the restaurant directly and speak to the manager on duty to see about making special arrangements. Please note that when we’re rockin’ and rollin’ during the height of season, we will always do our best to accommodate your group and seat you as quickly as we can, but we cannot reserve tables ahead of time.

Does Frenchy’s accommodate large groups?

Frenchy’s Original Café is not ideal for large groups due to seating limitations; Frenchy’s Saltwater Café has indoor and outdoor options for large groups; Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill has indoor options for large groups; Frenchy’s South Beach Café has indoor and outdoor options, as well as an upstairs private dining area that is great for meetings and parties.

Is Take-Out available?

Yes, anything on the menu, except raw seafood, is available for take-out at all 5 restaurants. You can even take out your Frenchy’s Stone Crab Claw Feast!

Are your restaurants dog-friendly?

Yes, Frenchy’s Saltwater Café provides dog-friendly dining on their east patio. Currently, this is our only location that offers such accommodations.

Does Frenchy’s catch its own fish?

Yes! Frenchy’s Seafood Company contracts a fleet of boats that line catch grouper, snapper and other fresh fish. The fish is prepped and delivered daily to each of the restaurants. You’re welcome to stop by the docks to watch the fisherman unload their boats and the fish cutters prep the fresh catch everyday from 8:00am until noon at Frenchy’s Seafood Company, located at 419 East Shore Drive, Clearwater Beach. You can also purchase a variety of fresh fish, shrimp and other seafood products that are available at market price. From October to May, fresh stone crabs claws are also available in the restaurants and for retail purchase through Frenchy’s Stone Crab Company.

How do you accommodate food allergies?

Frenchy’s is aware that food allergies and other dietary restrictions are increasing and we encourage you to speak with your server or a manager to see how we can best accommodate you. Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill has a “working” gluten-free menu that our patrons graciously help us keep accurate. Frenchy’s also relies on its suppliers’ statements of ingredients in deciding which products did not contain certain allergens. This may change from time to time due to inventory substitutions. During preparation, your meal may come in contact with food you wish to avoid due to shared space on grills, in cooking oil, etc. We cannot guarantee that any menu item will be totally free of your questionable allergens, but we will do our best to meet your needs.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, traveler’s checks and Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, gift cards are available for purchase in any denomination you choose at any of our 5 restaurant locations and online. Sorry, we do not take orders over the phone for gift card purchases. Gift cards do not expire and are valid at all restaurant locations, Frenchy’s Off the Hook gift shop, Frenchy’s Oasis Motel, Frenchy’s Stone Crab Company and Clearwater Paddleboard & Rental Co.

Who do I contact about being part of the live music schedule?

We feature live music at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill and at Frenchy’s South Beach Cafe. If you are a musician interested in playing at our locations, please send an email to info@frenchysrestaurants.com with a link to your website/demos. Read more about last year’s Dunedin Stone Crab festival here.
