Chalktober Fest Brings Beautiful Sidewalk Art

To Clearwater & Clearwater Beach During October

The newly formed AMPLIFY Clearwater will present its first big event during the month of October. Clearwater Chalktober Art Fest will bring together the communities of Clearwater and Clearwater Beach with a special event every weekend. Clearwater Chalktober Art Fest will show the works of local and visiting artists who have been invited to chalk artistic masterpieces in front of a variety of local establishments in Clearwater and Clearwater Beach to bring customers to all participating businesses in a friendly, social distancing way.

This year’s Clearwater Chalktober Art Fest will begin on October 1 and end on November 1, sponsored by Morton Plant Hospital/BayCare Health Systems. Artists will begin working each Thursday and complete their designs by noon on Saturday for weekend enjoyment. The five-weekend-long artistic celebration offers those of all ages an opportunity to experience high quality chalk art at all the area’s favorite hot spots along Clearwater Beach and in Downtown Clearwater. And the participating businesses will be offering food and refreshments.

During the Clearwater Chalktober Art Fest, each participating business will be partnered with a local or visiting artist who will chalk a masterpiece in front of its establishment. The schedule for the various chalk artists to work will take them to a different neighborhood each week. AMPLIFY will have a QR code available for attendees to scan and vote for their favorite artist each week and will present the weekly winner with a prize.

One of the goals of Chalktober Art Fest is to offer residents and visitors an opportunity to see the artists at work and to enjoy viewing their art in a leisurely fashion, while also seeing the reopened businesses that are following all of the post-Pandemic rules while continuing to offer some of the finest quality food and drinks that have earned them such outstanding reputations.
