Central Park Performing Arts Center offers new ‘Drama Essentials for Kids’ sessions. Registrations are now being accepted for an all-new theatre educational program ‘Drama Essentials for Kids.’ The program is provided by the Central Park Performing Arts Center. Weekly sessions held throughout the fall will introduce children to the art of acting, using specific tools and lesson plans to help develop their growth as young actors.

The eight-week ‘Drama Essentials for Kids’ program is open to children between 8 and 13 years of age and will run from October 1 to November 19. Sessions will be held in the Historic Largo Feed store every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All sessions will have safety procedures to protect participants.
Enrollment for this exciting ‘Drama Essentials for Kids’ specialty program is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Participants can register at PlayLargo.com or in person at either the Highland Recreation Complex, Southwest Recreation Complex, or the Largo Community Center. The program will cost $99 for members of the City of Largo’s Recreation, Parks, and Arts Department and $198 for non-members.
Need-based scholarships are available through generous support from the Central Park Performing Arts Foundation. For more information about the program or scholarship opportunities, visit www.LargoArts.com or call 727-587-6751.
To ensure the safety of participants, masks are required for all those entering our facilities and traveling between rooms and common areas, and when social distancing is not possible. Specific programs may allow masks to be removed when social distancing is possible or if participating in an outdoor class or event.
Signage is posted throughout the facilities to remind staff and patrons to practice safe social distancing, to wear masks when they are not able to social distance, to wash their hands frequently, and to clean commonly used surfaces. All team members are required to wear masks in common areas and while engaging the public. The instructor will wear a mask the entire time, class is held in the Feed-store.
