The Dog Bar has different areas and something for everyone. The majority of patrons spend much of their time in the actual dog park. The 4,500 SF dog park consists of an Astroturf play area and includes a pool for them to swim. For their human counterparts there is seating at the bar, high top tables, picnic tables, and benches. The area is mostly covered so rain or shine this off leash area is great for both canines and their owners to interact with each other. Wooferees, as they are called, keep an eye on the dogs to stop aggressive play while drinks are enjoyed by their human counterparts.

The other side of the bar is a leashed area where food can be eaten and the atmosphere enjoyed with a view of the play area from most locations. There are also hightop tables and a game room for people looking to enjoy other activities. There is a second fenced in area where dogs and their human companions can go for a quieter experience. Small dogs often enjoy this yard or puppy parents looking to spend a little one on one time with their dog.

The Dog Bar has a schedule of food trucks that provide great eats to their customers. The diversity of food options allows anyone to enjoy a bite while they are there. They keep a schedule on their events calendar so patrons can plan their trips around their favorite food trucks.

The Dog Bar has fun for everyone with events happening all the time. There are special events including a Woofball Puppy Bowl, a Chihuahua race, and many others. Weekly events include Monday Trivia Night, Dog Bar Bingo on Tuesdays and many other fun events. They also many times have vendors that sell dog supplies, will paint a picture of your dog, or are promoting animal adoption.

The bar itself is fully stocked and has an amazing draft beer selection. The bartenders and all of the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. In fact, after a visit or two you not only feel like a regular, but also part of the Dog Bar Village family.

Membership for your dog is just $50 a year. You can get a day pass for $5. The Dog Bar puts everyones safety first and you are required to provide your dog’s shot records and they will test the dog’s temperament to ensure they are friendly with other dogs. Also for safety reasons, kids under 21 are not allowed to enter. People without dogs are welcome to join in the fun. I just have one warning, if you come without a dog, you may find yourself at a shelter adopting one very soon!

The Dog Bar in Saint Petersburg gets 5 out of 5 stars. I can tell you that my dog and I have become regulars there and absolutely love the place! #GuruApproved!
