Ingredients:
- 3 Eggs
- 3 Cups Buttermilk
- 6 Pounds Chicken Wings
- 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
- 3 Cups Frank’s RedHot Sauce (less of some other brands)
- 2 Sticks Unsalted Butter
- 6 Tablespoons Honey
- Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
- Peanut Oil
Directions:
- Cut the tips off the wings
- Split the wings at the joints
- Mix the buttermilk and eggs in a large bowl
- Add the butchered wings to the large bowl
- Cover the wings and allow to marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes
- Mix the Flour, Paprika, and Black Pepper in a medium bowl
- Preheat the oil to 375 degrees. If you are not using a deep fryer, be sure to have enough oil to cover the wings
- Dredge the wings in the flour and paprika mixture to coat
- Fry the wings in batches until golden brown – about 12-14 minutes
- Combine hot sauce, honey, and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts.
- Optional – Add Red Pepper Flakes (for Hot instead of Medium Buffalo Sauce)
- Cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens
- Remove wings with tongs and place on a rack to drain
- Add the fried wings to the sauce and toss
- Serve and enjoy!
