Looking for a appetizer that will please your crowd? This Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Shrimp recipe from your Guru is perfect for a holiday gathering, sporting event, or a summer BBQ. Try it once and you will be serving it every time you host a get together!
Ingredients:
- 1 Pound of Jumbo Shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 10 slices of bacon
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 Tablespoon chopped chives
- 2 Teaspoons Italian style bread crumbs
- 1/2 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 Tablespoon chopped chipotles in adobo sauce
Directions:
- Slice bacon in half lengthwise.
- Combine cream cheese, chives, breadcrumbs, and garlic in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in chipotles in adobo.
- Cover and refrigerate.
- Preheat grill to 325 degrees.
- Grill bacon until it is it is slightly browned but still pliable. (Bacon is undercooked at this point)
- Slice the back of the shrimp to butterfly them being careful to not cut all the way through. Flatten shrimp slightly.
- Remove the stuffing from the refrigerator. Put a teaspoon of the stuffing on the shrimp then wrap a slice of bacon around it.
- Put shrimp on the grill cream cheese side up and grill until shrimp are opaque (about 5-6 minutes).
- Serve and enjoy!
