Ingredients:
- 8 cups dried bread cubes
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 stalks celery chopped finely
- 1 onion chopped finely
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- Fresh parsley as a garnish
Directions:
- Cut the bread into cubes and leave the cubes out on the counter for a day or two to dry.
- Place bread cubes in a large bowl and set aside. Butter the inside of your crockpot.
- Melt butter over medium heat until melted.
- Add the celery and onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add the herbs and saute until fragrant. Approximately 30 seconds.
- Add the celery, onions, and herbs to the bread cubes, along with the salt, pepper, and 1 1/2 cups of the chicken stock.
- Toss well adding more stock if the cubes are still dry.
- Pour into the crockpot, cover, and cook on low for 4-5 hours. Add extra chicken stock as needed throughout cooking time.
- Add cranberries
- When serving, garnish with fresh parsley.
