Hello Restaurant Owners!

We hope you had a great summer! We have begun planning for the 2018 Restaurant Weeks.

  1. We are attempting to get enough sponsors to run a 4 color insert in the local newspapers for the Sunday 2 weeks before our event. If we are successful, we will include the menus of all the participating restaurants, which is the reason for the early submission of your menus below. Our fall-back plan will be a 4 color insert with all participants listed but without menus.
  2. We are also exploring local train station display ads announcing the event. Again, this will depend on sponsorships.
  3. As Google Analytics indicates, at least 22% of Restaurant Week website visitors come from outside of the county, so we will be running Facebook ads in those areas and involving local hotels to encourage weekend visits.
  4. In order to ensure we have our marketing materials prepared, we are enforcing a registration deadline of 10 weeks before each Restaurant Week. We will enforce a $50 late fee for any restaurant signing up after the deadline and $75 12 days or more after the deadline.
  5. We would like to host a kickoff event with either a beer tasting event, cocktail kickoff party, martini or food contest, or tasting event. If your restaurant would like to host or participate in this event, please contact Bill Zeltman at Bill@MyTownGurus.com or call 609-412-7235. There will be no additional charge for hosting or participating in this event.

PROGRAM REMINDERS

  1. All restaurants are required to post the My Town Gurus Restaurant Week logo on their website. Failure to post the logo may result in cancellation of participation with no refund.
  2. Menus must be submitted no later than 1 week after registration ends for timely posting on the respective Restaurant Week website. It is important to post your menu as over 80% of consumers told us they looked at the menus before deciding where to go.
  3. If you are going to have any exclusions on your Restaurant Week menu, for example, only until 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights, you must advise us when you submit your menu so that we may include this information on our website, and you must tell customers when they are making a reservation.
  4. Companies with more than one restaurant are required to pay a restaurant fee for each restaurant. The first restaurant will be regular price – additional restaurants from the same company will be charged $175 for full service restaurants and $125 for BYOB’s.

COST

The fee includes Posters, Flyers, Postcards, inclusion in print ads, social media promotions, placement on the My Town Gurus Restaurant website, menu posting on the site and Special Events promotion.

My Town Gurus Restaurant Week Restaurant Guidelines and Participation Commitment

The objectives of Restaurant Week are to boost business for restaurants during a traditionally slow time of year and to encourage consumers to dine out more often and try new restaurants. Three (3) course meal prices have been designed to accommodate both casual pub style restaurants and fine dining restaurants and to provide real value for the consumer.

  1. Cost of participation in Restaurant Week is $250 for a full service restaurant and $175 for a BYOB for the dinner or dinner and lunch option, and $175 for lunch only. Additional restaurants from the same company will be charged $175 and $125 respectively.
  2. Participants are required to offer a three (3) course meal with at least three (3) appetizer options, three (3) entrée options and three (3) dessert choices every night during Restaurant Week for $24 per person. Lunch option must offer three (3) entree choices and one (1) of the following: appetizer, salad, dessert, glass of beer/wine for $16 per person. Failure to offer three choices in each category will result in menu rejection.
  3. Menu items do not have to come from the restaurant’s regular menu, but should be representative of the restaurant’s style of cooking.
  4. Participants are free to offer supplemental items on their Restaurant Week menu, but only if the three choices in each category have been met. For example, a 4th entree could be offered, perhaps a strip steak, with a supplemental cost, but only if there are three choices offered under the established price guidelines.
  5. Participants have the option of offering the Restaurant Week menu on Friday and Saturday nights only up until 7pm. If you select this option, it must be included on the menu that you submit to Restaurant Week and customers calling for reservations must be informed of the limitations.
  6. Deadline for menu submission to be included on Restaurant Week website is one week after regular registration closes. We cannot guarantee that menus received after this date will be posted on our website.
  7. Use of the My Town Gurus Restaurant Week Logo is granted to each participant for the duration of Restaurant Week and must be used in all communication to the consumer; websites, print, posters, menus, table tenets, credit card stuffers and the like. The Restaurant Week logo must be included on your website.
  8. My Town Gurus Restaurant Week will provide all participants with Restaurant Week posters, flyers, and postcards. Participants are encouraged to make use of these materials in the weeks leading up to the event to help insure its success.
  9. Violations of Restaurant Week Guidelines may affect future event participation.
