Vodka Blush Penne Pasta Recipe

Can’t decide if you want red or white tonight on your pasta? Do both! This vodka blush penne pasta recipe is sure to please everyone!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound  Penne Pasta
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Teaspoons dried Thyme (2 Tablespoons fresh minced Thyme)
  • 2 Teaspoons dried Basil (2 Tablespoons fresh minced Basil)
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 2 Cups of Heavy Cream
  • ½ Cup Vodka
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • ½ Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Directions:

  1. Boil water in pot for pasta
  2. In a large nonstick skillet add butter and onions and cook on medium low heat until onions start to brown. About 6-8 minutes
  3. Cook pasta for about 11 minutes
  4. Add Thyme, Basil, and Salt and cook for about a minute
  5. Add 1 ½ cups of the heavy cream and cook for about 2 minutes or until it thickens
  6. Stir in about half of the parmesan cheese
  7. Stir in Pasta
  8. Stir in the remaining parmesan cheese
  9. Garnish with parmesan cheese and serve
