Ingredients:

  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 Cups Buttermilk
  • 6 Pounds Chicken Wings
  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 3 Cups Frank’s RedHot Sauce (less of some other brands)
  • 2 Sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 6 Tablespoons Honey
  • Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
  • Peanut Oil

Directions:

  1. Cut the tips off the wings
  2. Split the wings at the joints
  3. Mix the buttermilk and eggs in a large bowl
  4. Add the butchered wings to the large bowl
  5. Cover the wings and allow to marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes
  6. Mix the Flour, Paprika, and Black Pepper in a medium bowl
  7. Preheat the oil to 375 degrees. If you are not using a deep fryer, be sure to have enough oil to cover the wings
  8. Dredge the wings in the flour and paprika mixture to coat
  9. Fry the wings in batches until golden brown – about 12-14 minutes
  10. Combine hot sauce, honey, and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts.
  11. Optional – Add Red Pepper Flakes (for Hot instead of Medium Buffalo Sauce)
  12. Cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens
  13. Remove wings with tongs and place on a rack to drain
  14. Add the fried wings to the sauce and toss
  15. Serve and enjoy!
